CLIMB AND CAMP
Our climb and camp events are geared for the person looking to experience outdoor climbing in a kind and educational setting. Join our group of guides and learn the skills needed to set routes and challenge yourself!
Campsite included
Max 6 participants. We keep the group sizes small so that you get more 1:1 time with the guides and to ensure quality training.
Clinics covering gym to crag skills; anchor building, clipping draws, cleaning anchors, movement skills, ground anchors, backup belay, belay techniques and more!
Two full days of outdoor climbing
Required gear; harness, belay device, helmet, locking carabiners (2) and climbing shoes. If there is gear on this list that you are unable to obtain we may be able to provide it for you.
Food and water will not be supplied. You will need to pack your own lunches.
Basic Anchor Building Course

Prerequisites
Able to climb 5.6 outdoors (minimum)
General knowledge of belay techniques
General knowledge of overhand knot and carabiners (locking/non locking)
(2) hour class
Food/water recommended and are not provided.
You will to bring a climbing harness and climbing shoes. All other equipment will be provided.
Course covers SERENE, quad anchors, multipoint anchors, minimum breaking strengths, evaluating bolts/hangars and practical applications of anchor systems
$75 per climber

Advanced Anchor Building course

Prerequisites
Must have taken the basic anchors course (or equivalent)
Must have experience building basic anchor systems
(3) hour class
Food/water recommended and are not provided.
You will need to bring a climbing harness and climbing shoes. All other equipment will be provided.
Course covers the SERENE acronym, multipoint anchors, magic X, sliding X, combining anchor points, extending anchors and how to utilize a “shelf”
$85 per climber

Cleaning and rappelling course

Prerequisites
Must be able to lead 5.6 outdoors
Must have taken the Basic Anchors course or equivalent
Must have a general knowledge OR ability to build multipoint anchors as well as the quad anchor
(3) hour class
Food/water recommended and are not provided.
You will need to bring a climbing harness, climbing shoes, helmet (if you do not have on please let us know and we may provide you with one), ATC and two locking carabiners.
We will discuss redundancy, equalization, utilizing a “shelf”, PAS (personal anchor system), mitigating risk and double rope rappels.
$85 per climber

basic rope rescue techniques

Prerequisites
Must have taken the Basic Anchors course AND the Cleaning and Rappelling course.
Must have built anchors and cleaned/rappelled in the outdoor setting prior to this course

Food/water recommended and are not provided.
You will need to bring a climbing harness, climbing shoes and a helmet. All other equipment will be provided.
In this class we will discuss/practice incapacitated belay techniques and ascending/descending fixed ropes for rescue

2-day outdoor Trad clinic

Prerequisites
MUST climb 5.7 outdoors minimum
MUST have experience lead climbing sport, cleaning and rappelling
Food/water recommended and are not provided.
You will need to bring a climbing harness, helmet, climbing shoes, PASS, (2) locking carabiners, belay device (please ensure proficiency with your device) and any equipment you would like to practice with.
This course covers the SERENE acronym, evaluation of rock quality, choosing routes, route finding, and passive/active protection, anchor building, cleaning/rappelling, belay positions, constrictions, mitigating hazards, racking gear, cams, nuts, single/double length slings and belay positions.
Max class size (3) people. We keep our class size down so that we can provide you more time training and learning.
